Heidi is an energetic and charismatic personality who has worked incredibly hard over the years to make her mark on the electronic music scene. Heidi grew up in Windsor, Canada, on the border of Detroit, where the music scene of the Motor City and nearby Chicago left a deep impression on her.
Moving to London in 2000, Heidi worked behind the counter at Koobla Records, before becoming part of the team that opened up London’s foremost record shop, Phonica. It was here that Heidi organically immersed herself into the dance music scene, meeting many of the world’s leading producers and artists. Heidi then started to play records herself and before she knew it was DJing and touring the world thanks to the Berlin crew Get Physical records.
Next came a 3-year stint in Berlin to hone her skills and build her career before moving back to London again to front BBC Radio 1 show ‘In New DJs We Trust’. Her very own ‘BBC Radio 1 Residency’ soon followed where she championed the world’s best electronic underground music and artists for 9 years.
In 2009 Heidi started her now infamous Jackathon parties held at various nightspots and festivals across the globe featuring the many talents who inspired and moved her and who remain global superstars today. A label called ‘Heidi presents Jackathon Jams’ was born from its success. For Heidi, the Jackathon movement was always about creating energy and unleashing magic and unity on the dancefloor. Over many years Heidi has played at the world’s biggest festivals and clubs including Glastonbury, Movement, Sonar, Exit, Creamfields, Parklife etc as well as for Ibiza’s most famous residencies.
Fast forward to today and you’ll find Heidi still at the forefront of the dance music scene playing in many different countries around the world. In 2023 she launched ‘Heidi presents Hi-Jacked’ – a new series of parties steeped in the original ethos of the Jackathon that brings back nights of clubbing with a different edge. Something for everyone.
