At 25, London native Tommy Gold has been breaking ground across scenes. His performances are overflowing with a vast array of selections that show an extraordinary depth of musical knowledge far beyond his years. He’s spent the last 10 years tiptoeing the line between incredible new finds while also expertly teasing in gems from the past. Every month, Tommy’s NTS show sees him bring on guests from around the world, such as PinkPantheress, Channel Tres, C. Frim, Govi and Ama Lou.
2023 saw Tommy drop his first solo tracks, under the Fajita Disco Records label, as well as hosting sold-out Fajita Disco parties in both London and NYC. The tracks, “Zion” and “Consequences” take influence from underground UK Dance & traditional Tech House, translated through Tommy’s unique style.
As well as sampling his own vocal on “Zion”, the track focusses on creating a more ambient synth soundscape with deep drum sounds, contrasting with “Consequences”, a peak time club-ready record. Other tracks such as “Troubleshoot” with fellow producer GEE LEE and, more recently, the two part “Canal Street Groove/Sex Appeal” with Joshua Coniglio also highlight his ability to create records that fit perfectly in his high energy four-to-the-floor DJ sets.
Tommy’s latest track “Clingfilm” has just dropped on Gorgon City’s Realm Records. The track’s grooving acid baseline and contemporary UK house sentiment sees Tommy solidifying his sound while continuing to showcase his production versatility.
