MOXY MUZIK is Darius Syrossian's record label & party that launched in 2018.
The label's first release 'dance of the shaman' sold out on vinyl and the digital release hit number 1 in the minimal deep tech charts in only 24 hours. The label has since gone onto record several more number 1's & countless top 10's although the ethos of the label is not about chart placings, it's about releasing music that is aimed at the dancefloor yet has some depth, the label isn't striving to appeal to the masses, its about putting out music Darius Syrossian would play in his sets. MOXY MUZIK is constantly striving to get behind upcoming talent, as well as releasing music from established artists.
The label has been getting support from the likes of Detroit legend Derrick May (in his boiler room set), Laurent Garnier and many other artists, whilst the label parties have sold out 18 shows in a row in Manchester in 18 months as a monthly residency and regularly sells out label parties in London at 93 Feet East, as well as hosting parties across Europe, South America & beyond.
The ethos of the party is about taking things back to the roots of what this is all about, DJs playing long extended sets, in intimate venues and clubs, something which Darius feels is a little lost these days, with promoters mainly focusing on big warehouse events and stacked line ups which sees DJs only play hour long sets or 90 mins sets. Darius regularly plays 6 or or even longer at the Moxy Muzik residency parties in Manchester, London & Leeds.
