The internet is shouting ‘Philip George is back!” - The truth is he’s never really been away.
But over the last few months his musical output has dramatically increased with a slew of edits and remixes which have raised the bar in that genre and resulted in him having undoubtedly two of the tracks of the summer. His remixes of Kettama & Interplanetary Criminal’s ‘Yosemite”, and Kerri Chandler & Dennis Quin’s “You Are In My System” have been ever-presents in the clubs and festivals alike.
From Chris Stussy to Prospa, from Kettama to Obskur – Gaskin to Robbie Doherty, all are hammering this fresh new take from the boy wonder.
Philip announced himself to the world in fine style in 2014 with his global smash “Wish You Were Mine” which has cemented itself as a seminal classic of its time. After destroying the most discerning of clubs around the world it crossed over, peaking at number 2 in the UK main chart and being nominated for Best Single at the 2015 Brit Awards. ‘Wish You Were Mine’ was a defining moment and its influence can still be heard today across a raft of new artists’ work.
To date it’s now achieved over 230 million streams on Spotify alone and Phil’s place dining at the top table of House Music is assured, as an impressive touring schedule has taken him to every corner of the globe.
Fast forward to 2025 and a more mature and musically cultured artist has developed as he explores his underground roots, albeit produced with the high production values we’ve come to expect from such a successful artist.
The result is intoxicating house music with a bleeding edge, credible angle so it’s no surprise it’s finding favour with such a wide array of the most respected selectors around the world, and with a raft of original new music about to drop it’s clear that 2025 could be Philip George’s biggest year to date.
